Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In January 2012, after spending three months at the gym, my trainer David McConnachie, Owner and Founder at DMC Fitness, Glasgow asked me to consider a personal training goal for 2012.

Now I thought long and hard about this and had to admit to myself that self-defence or at the very least engaging in any form of combat with anyone for any reason was never my strong point.  Basically I could not have fought my way out of a wet paper bag.

I therefore asked David McConnachie, being a trained cage fighter and amateur boxer, to teach me the art of boxing.  Not only did he agree to do this but he asked me to consider actually competing in a White Collar bout in March 2013.  I agreed, and the rest is history, as they say.

I am sure you will agree that it would be entirely selfish not to do sponsorship at the same time.  As a father of four beautiful young girls, I cannot think of a better and more deserving charity than CHAS.

So please dig deep and make the pain, sweat, determination, physical exhaustion and sometimes blood from the past year well worth it indeed.

Please do donate now.

About the charity

We're Children's Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS). We care for children throughout Scotland with life-shortening conditions and their families.
