Story

Hi All

Thanks for taking the time out to visit my page.

No doubt, you'll all think I've totally lost the plot by 1) walking to my wedding & 2) Wanting to dress up as Willy Wonka! But it's all in the name of Charity & I'm not doing it alone, thanks to one crazy, supportive friend, Jerry - who I think you'll agree has drawn the short straw by having to join me as my Chief Oompa Loompa!

On June 17th this year, I am marrying my Fiancée Gemma and my challenge is to walk from my home town of Ilkley to the venue of our wedding in Bowness on Windermere, along the Dales Way, in the four days prior to the wedding.

I know it is only approx. 90 miles, but I have pledged to raise as much money as possible for the Beefy's Charity Foundation & I hope by Jerry & myself making fools of ourselves helps you to dig as deep as you can & donate.

We will be meeting at the Old Bridge Nurseries, Stockeld Road in Ilkley (where the Dales Way starts) at 9am on the 12th June 2017 where Sir Ian, Lady Kath and their daughter Sarah are planning to wave us off at 10am, we'll also be joined by some of the Calendar Girls.

Anybody wanting to join us at the start are more than welcome – particularly those dressed like us!!!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

A huge thank you from Willy Wonka & his Chief Oompa Loompa, Jerry!
