At Wilson Howe Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors, our chosen charity to support in 2018 is Fairplay.  

It's time for the next challenge.  Matt is now taking part in an even longer bike ride in the Altura Nottinghamshire Wheeler Sportive. Last time Matt only did 98 Miles, which just wasn't enough so he is now riding 101 to break his personal record.  Is he crazy? Well yes, but he's doing it for a great cause - Fairplay! So please donate what ever you can afford to this amazing cause through our Just Giving page (don't forget to gift aid).

So why Fairplay?
We first heard about Fairplay through the BNI enterprize networking group and were blown away with the support they provide to children and young people, aged 0-25 with disabilities and additional needs, as well as the support they provide to parents and siblings, across the North Derbyshire area.

As parents, Fairplay tugs on our heart strings and it is assuring to know that Fairplay is their for those that need them.  

Here are a few of the brilliant things Fairplay provide:

• Fairplay runs play schemes and Saturday clubs for children, youth clubs, activity days, themed groups, and independent living groups for young people, and parent support groups and family trips for parents and siblings. 
• Fairplay also provides a home based care service for children with complex health care needs that may be life-threatening or life-limiting. 
• Fairplays services offer families the support that they need and gives them opportunities to take part in positive experiences that make a real difference to their lives.
• They enable parents to have valuable respite from 24 hour care and give children and young people the opportunity to develop a wide range of life skills.
• Fairplay offers services from its purpose built centre in Chesterfield and also from outreach venues in North East Derbyshire, Bolsover, High Peak and Derbyshire Dales.
