We are a group of adventurous women and this October 2021 we will be embarking on a lifetime journey. We will be attempting to climb the highest freestanding mountain in the world, Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania!

# OUR CONTRIBUTION

This great challenge is more then just our personal achievement. We would like to raise awareness and funds in support of girls’ education in Tanzania because we believe that stronger women and girls build stronger families, and stronger families build stronger communities.

We decided to partner with CAMFED,  a charity organization registered in Canada, USA and England. CAMFED multiplies educational opportunities for girls and empowers young women to become leaders of change. 
Their focus is on girls and young women in rural areas of sub-Saharan Africa, also in Tanzania. This is where girls face acute disadvantage and where their empowerment will have a transformative impact.

# OUR CHALLENGE AND COMMITMENT

Mount Kilimanjaro is 5,895 meters (19,341 feet) high.
It is located in the Kilimanjaro National Park in Tanzania, near to the country’s border with Kenya.
The average temperature at the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro is -7°C (19°F).

We will be climbing the Machame route in a seven-day ascent that will take us through five different climatic zones.
We will get to trek through beautiful landscape with stunning vistas while facing challenges of blistering heat, freezing cold, and extremely thin air. 
We could be climbing for up to ten hours a day, whilst sleeping in basic tents up the mountain. 
Over the next six months we are committing to make this goal our priority and to train extremely hard in the lead up to the event.
