Homelessness in Oxford has been on the increase in recent years, and it’s an issue that affects the whole community. The Oxfordshire County Council has also proposed substantial cuts to homeless services, which will make it even harder to tackle homelessness. The BIG Sleepout is one night spent sleeping outdoors (alongside everyone else who's taking part) with nothing but clothes, a sleeping bag and a cardboard shelter.

Cânâ and I have decided to partake to raise awareness for the harsh reality that hundreds of local people have to face night after night.

We’ve been set the challenge of raising £1000 in sponsorship money to be split across the three amazing charities who have organised the event: Aspire Oxford, Oxford Homeless Pathways and Connections Floating Support (links below).

All funds raised will go directly towards helping local people affected by homelessness, so please do donate whatever you can :).

The BIG Sleepout will take place on the 28th of October from 7pm until 7am the next day, but fundraising will continue until we’ve hit our target!
