Hi I’m Yvonne. In September 2020 I was diagnosed with stage 3 bowel cancer. On October 9 2020 I had surgery to have the tumour removed at the Royal Liverpool Hospital by the specialist colorectal team and was cared for by the nursing and care team on ward 5C.  In January 2021 I completed a course of chemotherapy at Clatterbridge Cancer Centre. Everyone worked so hard to help me get better and now I am able to run in the Liverpool Half Marathon on September 12 2021. I am running with my brilliant husband Ed who has been through this journey with me. I want to show my deepest gratitude to everyone who looked after me during my treatment and to raise funds for RCharity, the Royal Liverpool University Hospital charity
