Story
I retired last October and decided to sit on any decision as to the next chapter of my life until the end of January. I am a volunteer for the Wave project and this opportunity came up. I don’t have a garden to throw myself at so I applied, thinking they won’t want someone my age!!
Little did I know a week later they offered me a place and the rest, as they say, is history!
This will scare me into the next chapter of my life, if nothing else. We leave for Kathmandu on 12th April and it will take 2 weeks for the return trip Via Everest Base Camp on the 20th April.
Please support this wonderful charity and in doing so, Me and my endeavours, in anyway you can!
And if you live in the Uk and pay tax please tick the gift aid option.
The Wave Project brings people together through surfing. The evidence-based surf therapy programme is proven to help young people feel less anxious and more positive. They also run beach school projects to help children feel more engaged in education. Working with partner organisations and the amazing volunteers we are changing lives together.
I will be fundraising for the Scotland project based in Dunbar.
