I'm running my first marathon (26.2miles) this April in aid of Refuge, a very worthy UK charity which works to support women and children by providing emergency housing when they are most in need and subject to the life changing effects of domestic violence.

I'm aiming to raise a minimum of £600, which to give you an idea as part of the Brighton team aiming to raise £20,000 could pay for 48 women to be supported by an independent advocacy caseworker. Advocates help women at high risk of physical violence stay safe as they navigate through the legal process, whilst helping to increase convictions.
