My name is Zamara Cordero and I have completed running 100,000m in 15days (93837m of which is for every sexual crime reported in Scotland in the past 10years and an additional 6163m for the survivors who's cases were not reported) Sexual violence is a huge and sensitive topic for me. During lockdown, I studied the statistics on the outrageous numbers of sexual violence cases per year, and decide to look at the number of victims that had received justice for their case. What I found was shocking and unimaginable. My personal experience with the topic and the stories of others around me has fuelled me to set up this fundraiser and run this distance to raise awareness and support the victims of sexual abuse. The distance I am running in this set period of time is quite challenging for me as I have a medical condition that affects my cardiovascular ability. However I am determined to reach my goal and will be motivated by every donation I receive. 

WHERE WILL MY DONATIONS GO TO?

All donations will go directly towards the costs of delivering all ERCC's support and information services. They provide a wide-range of trauma-informed support services to women, members of the trans community, non-binary people and young people aged 12-18 who have experienced sexual violence at any time in their lives.
