We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer

Story

Thanks for visiting my Race for Life page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online - it's quick, easy and totally secure.

First of all WE DID IT!!

On Sunday 22nd June we completed our race and not a single lady dropped out, fell over or stopped off for a quick ice cream! I am so proud of the staff and residents which took part and in particular Kathleen whom this was going to be a challenge for but she stayed strong and kept going and here's why:

Earlier this year Kathleen (pic), a service user with Equinox Care, Greenwich Mental Health Service was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She has shown great resolve throughout and has had to deal with  addressing her addiction to alcohol and coping with mental ill health but she has done this whilst undergoing treatment for Cancer.

Kathleen has shown us that no matter how desperate things can seem there is always hope. She is sober and on top life. It was her wish to take part in this years race and her determination encouraged us to run, well maybe jog or walk, with her.

Gift Aid it!

If you're a UK taxpayer, please remember to tick the Gift Aid box as this will increase your donation by at least 25% at no cost to you.

Sponsor me now, and we can become cancer's worst nightmare.

One day we will beat cancer. Help us make it sooner.
