Story

Hello and thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am joining a team from Close Brothers Retail Finance who are attempting to raise £20,000 for Jigsaw4u to celebrate 20 years of this fantastic charity. After walking 100km along the Thames Path last year in 22 hours, I'm ditching my walking boots and poles, and returning on the 9th September 2017 to instead run 50km / +30miles of the Thames Path Challenge from Putney to Runnymede (hopefully in under 5 hours...) with a target of personally raising £500.

We selected Jigsaw4u, a small charity based in Mitcham close to our Wimbledon office, for the amazing work they do in helping children and young people in South West London put the pieces back together in their lives - be that after bereavement, domestic abuse or child sexual exploitation. Their team of multi-disciplinary experts and volunteers help over 3,500 children, young people and parents in their local community each year.  As a team if we can raise £5,000 from the Thames Path Challenge this would pay for therapy for 20 young people over a year to help them cope with and recover from emotional distress.

If you are short on time, an alternative quick and easy way to donate £10 is to simply text ADGM58 £10 to 70070, and the donation will be included on your next phone bill instead.

Many thanks in advance,

Alex
