We are all taking part in a sponsored walk to support the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). Our niece, Olivia, cousin to our own daughters Amelia (6) and Carys (3), was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 5. She is now nearly 8. It has had a big impact on her life and the lives of her family meaning day to day life has become more complicated. Simple things like playing with her friends, going to parties and mealtimes which most young children don't have to give a second thought to can often become real challenges.

Like families of any sufferers, we want to help JDRF to find a cure for this life threatening condition and to improve the lives of sufferers like Olivia.
