Thank you for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page for my epic cycling challenge ' Journey Home' 

As many of you may know, I have served in the Royal Army Medical Corps since 1986, and since 2002 I have worked at the Royal Centre for Defence Medicine based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. I have currently been deployed to Afghanistan for 3 months treating eye injuries in the Craig Joint Theatre Hospital.  The Craig joint hospital is the only hospital of its type in Afghanistan and treats injured coalition soldiers. The aim is to cycle on a stationary bike the direct distance between Kabul and London which is 3500 miles, I am cycling over 60 miles each day to complete this epic challenge of ' cycling home '. 

I am raising money for Fisher House UK, Fisher House is a military home away from home for on the site of QEHB and military patients and their families can stay in free of charge. The house has 18 bedrooms and is a 3 minute walk from the main hospital. Since opening in June 2013 Fisher House has provided accommodation to over 4000 people. Fisher House is completely charity funded so I Would be so grateful for any donations to this great cause.
