We help the hospital offer a better future to seriously ill children across the UK

Story

I'm running the Great North Run on 7 September 2014 in memory of my nephew & Godson, Elliott Joseph Walker who died on 17 July 2013 aged 10 days.

After 2 days at home (& while I was visiting to meet him for the first time), Elliott stopped breathing in my sister's arms. We called an ambulance and he was then quickly admitted to Great Ormond Street Hospital in London. Here he was diagnosed with OTC deficiency, a life-threatening condition which meant his body was unable to process protein.

For seven days, his life was in the hands of a group of incredibly kind and talented people who did everything possible to save him. After a phenomenal fight, Elliott died in his parents’ arms at Great Ormond Street.

I'm raising money to help Elliott's parents (my sister) Jenny and (brother in law) Michael create a palliative care room within Great Ormond Street, which is much-needed for parents with terminally ill children.

Anything you could give would be hugely appreciated.

Thank you so much
