I am hoping you will help me raise some funds for two local charities, York Against Cancer and St Leonard's Hospice, and support my head shave!!!

I need to reach my £500 target to get myself to the hairdressers on Monday morning to do it!  If we reach the target before Monday Chris will be joining me in the chair!

Those of you who know me will possibly know of the 15 year battle my mum had with Ovarian Cancer.  She fought it with such amazing dignity and faith and I only hope I can fight mine in the same way...

Yes, I'm fighting too!

After my five year all clear last April (you may remember I shouted about it), I have unfortunately just been diagnosed with Secondary Breast Cancer, which has spread to a few places.

I have had some Radiotherapy and have just this week started a course of Chemotherapy to take me through the summer - I could think of better things to be doing!

In order to take a bit of control I am going to shave my hair, to raise funds for two fantastic local charities in York.  I wasn't built to run marathons or abseil down buildings so am doing something a little more manageable but equally scary!!!  I'd better not say brave as that's someone else's slogan!

Please help me support the amazing work these charities do, as they will be helping me too over the coming months.

Please give whatever you can, small or large! 

Cancer touches so many lives, I know you will probably have your own story too, and if you can give a little to support those living with cancer you will have helped.
