Story
I love a bike ride. But this one is going to be a real challenge.
I've thought for a long time about doing the RideLondon 100-miler and this year I was inspired to reach out to the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS).
This is the only charity supporting young women and girls among hundreds of the RideLondon charity partners. Never has it been more important to campaign for the lives and livelihoods of girls and young women at home and abroad.
WAGGGS is the largest voluntary movement dedicated to girls and young women in the world. Their programmes reach 10 million beneficiaries in 152 countries. Each one is a girl whose life is enriched and empowered by strengthening her voice, building a community of support and stepping forward into opportunities.
I actually used to be a Brownie - I'll see if I can dig out some pictures. It was a fun time especially earning all the badges!
I know much is asked of each of us and we're all under pressure, so please do give if you are able. WAGGGS welcomes your donations and your generous support of their work and their mission.
