Story
Dear respected friends,
I've known Apa Faateamah Pirbhai since I started studying Qur'an tafsir under her some 15 years ago. We were her first class and we fell in love after the first class. Her inspirational and spiritual presence has inspired us to become a better spiritual, healthy and positive person. Many of the prophetic du'as I make in my daily prayers today are the very du'as she taught me and my classmates. She inspired many of my generation at a time where there was a lack of Muslim female role models. She was positive-minded, cheerful and shared her gems wherever she would go. She was able to make us understand how to practice our faith in the modern world. She gave us the tools that would continue to live with us every day of our lives. Her holistic approach to work on the body-mind-soul made her even more special than she already was. She cared for everyone's wellbeing and wished to raise as much awareness for that. This is where she shared her dream of wanting to spread her vision in the vicinity of the Cambridge Mosque. May Allah accept this as a sadaqa al-jariya on her behalf.

Apa Faateamah Pirbhai graduated from Jamia-Tul-Imam Muhammad Zakaria in 2002. She served the community straight away teaching weekly public study circles, advanced classes ('alimiyyah students) and she was very active in the community. She taught at Madrasa al Zahra, Noor Ul Islam and Madani Girls School among many other private classes. She continued to be a student of knowledge studying abroad and in London. She always had an engaging and interesting way of capturing people with her words. She made you feel special and remembered you in her prayers always. Even in her ill health she was one of the most altruistic people one could find.
Oh Allah, make her of your dearest and pious believers rejoicing to be reunited with her Beloved. Ameen
