Story

This is Barbara Watson's fundraiser set up by Dawn (her daughter).

Mother Barbara has set herself a challenge of walking as far as she can everyday for 26 days to see how far she can get.  Don't worry she isn't doing a flit from John, she's going to be doing it around Jarrow etc.

She will start on 12th May & finish on 6th June 2020.  We will keep you updated about how far her little legs have carried her.

We've decided to set the page up on my log in because let's face to it's just easier than trying to sort me Mam's log in.

Babs said, "I know Rape Crisis Tyneside and Northumberland need our help, I believe in the work they do".

She also said, "Our Dawn works there and I know she does a good job and I'm proud of her" (no you're crying!)

Rape Crisis Tyneside and Northumberland is a charity that supports women & girls from Tyneside and Northumberland who have experienced sexual violence at any time in their lives.  They provide counselling, support and information when it's most needed and they are committed to always being there.

Rape Crisis Tyneside and Northumebrland have continued to provide services throughout the Covid-19 pandemic and will continue to be there for women and girls into the future but they need your help!

Save the UK's CharitiesGeneral fundraising has been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled and many charities, particularly smaller ones, are struggling to maintain services because of this huge reduction in income. This impacts all sectors of society from children to the elderly as well as the vital work in areas such as palliative care, serious diseases, mental health, housing support, food supplies and countless others that charities support.
