The Bar Library Charity of the Year is the Welcome
Organisation, a charity established to provide practical assistance on a daily
basis to people affected by homelessness in Northern Ireland.

This September over 100 people will be taking up oars and
racing Dragonboats on the River Lagan to raise money to help people affected by
homelessness.

The Welcome Organisation’s Dragonboat Race, sponsored by The
Bar Library, takes place on Saturday, September 30th.

Two teams from the Bar Library will be up against teams from
Ulster Bank, Lloyds/Halifax, Bullitt Hotel, Ciena Systems, Elliot Duffy Garrett
solicitors, The Welcome Organisation and more.

Each race will feature two Dragonboats and each team will
compete in at least three races. The qualifying round will be based on fastest
times with the fastest teams qualifying for the semi-finals and the finals.  We are delighted to say that over 30 of our
colleagues have volunteered to take part in what will be a physically
challenging and wet event!
