Story
During the Ashes 2013/14 Tour the Barmy Army has chosen to raise funds for Motor Neurone Disease in association with The Broad Appeal. We want to support Stuart Broad and his charity during the Ashes Test Series and hope that you might help us to do that by not only singing loudly but donating to Stuart’s chosen charity.
Miche Broad sadly lost her life to Motor Neurone Disease in 2010. Chris, Stuart and Gemma set up The Broad Appeal to raise awareness and money to help fund research into finding a cure for MND.
MND is a disease that attacks the nervous system and eventually leaves the sufferer unable to walk, talk or feed themselves. We hope through your genorosity that we can help to raise funds to not only fund research but, until a cure can be found, support over 5,000 MND sufferers in the UK to receive the best care and achieve the highest quality of life possible.
We have set up a separate JustGiving page so that we, the Barmy Army, can show directly our support for The Broad Appeal and MNDA. We will keep you posted of the various charity events that we will host during the Ashes Series on Twitter @TheBarmyArmy and on our facebook page https://www.facebook.com/#!/englandsbarmyarmy.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
