We fight for people with deafblindness to ensure equality for all deafblind people

Story

Pauline, Colin, David and Katrina have lived with a hearing loss since birth. Soon after the millennium, they were also diagnosed with an eye condition called retinitis pigmentosa and all now live with varying degrees of visual impairment. At times they've called upon charities such as Deafblind Scotland for support in living with these conditions.

Pauline and her family (her dad Gerry, her brother Kevin and his husband Patrick, her sister Kirsty, her daughters Caitlin, Heather and Eilidh, and her niece Shannon) are doing this bike ride to raise awareness of the work of Deafblind Scotland and to raise funds to help them, so that they can continue to help people affected by sight and hearing loss.

We don't have a huge sponsorship target, so please give whatever you can, no amount is too small.

Thanks for reading and for your support. Hopefully it won't rain on the day!

People who are deafblind have substantial visual and hearing loss which causes extreme difficulty with communication, information and mobility. We aim to raise aspirations and expand the lives of Deafblind people, some of the least visible and most isolated members of society.
