Story

Brenda will be participating in our India Dalai Lama trek to raise funds for our cause from 5-15 th October 2017 and will be holding various fundraising events to raise £3,750 for this challenge. We would appreciate any support which you could provide to them by way of sponsorship, raffle prizes or any other contribution you are able to make.

Southern Area Hospice Services provides invaluable support and care to people living in the

Southern Area Trust Area who are suffering from Cancer, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease and other terminal illnesses. We provide ongoing respite care and activities for patients whose symptoms are controlled but who wish to avail of further medical, nursing and physiotherapy care. This year we must raise a staggering £2.42 million to continue providing these services. Our services available to the local community include:•

In-patient unit in Newry

Day Hospice facility in Newry and South Tyrone Hospital, Dungannon

Outpatients Clinics in Newry, Craigavon and Dungannon Hospitals

Palliative Care Team in Daisy Hill and Craigavon Hospitals

Homecare nursing in Armagh and Dungannon Area

Bereavement Support Services — In the Donaldson Counselling and Therapy Centre

Hospice Resource Centre, Irish Street, Dungannon

Southern Area Hospice Services care for patients and their families living primarily in the Southern Trust area, offering specialist palliative and end of life care. The main aim of the hospice is to help patients who have received a palliative diagnosis live well with their condition.
