I have personally lost several loved ones over the past few years to a variety of cancers and the most recent tragic loss was my Dad in June 2012. 

I currently have 3 family members battling cancer and two family friends, without even mentioning the loved ones of people I know. It is clear this affects too many people and we need to continue to support those who are losing their battle to live and help give everyone a better chance at survival.

Macmillan were particularly amazing providing my Grandad with at home support when he was diagnosed with cancer.

There are 15 of us in total taking part in the Manchester Survival of the Fittest assault course challenge in November and we are collectively raising money for 4 cancer charities and the Motor Neurone Disease Association because we want to help as many people as we can with your donations.

The 13 women taking part in this challenge are incredible women who have achieved amazing fitness transformations over the past few months whilst attending our Busy Woman's Fitness Project fitcamp and this is the perfect end to an amazing 2014 to prove to themselves that there really is NOTHING that they can't achieve.

We have a great support too in one of our campers partners who has also embraced the Fitness Projects principles and felt an improvement in his fitness and strength!

We will collectively suffer the cold, the water, the mud and anything else they throw at us so we can raise money for those who are less able and fortunate than us.

This is about survival. We can do it, so we hope you'll help support us with your donations, so we can help support others in their survival too.
