Story

The cancellation of fundraising events such as marathons, cycles, and walks for 2020, means that charity organisations such as SBHI are facing a substantial loss in fundraised income this year, running into tens of thousands of Euro.

With this in mind, the One More Mile Team have created the #5kaDay challenge. The #5kaDay participants will run or walk 5km a day throughout the month of July whilst raising awareness and funds for charity partner, Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Ireland (SBHI).

Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Ireland (SBHI) provides essential information, support and advice to everyone living with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus in Ireland. For more information, please visit: www.sbhi.ie

Our major fundraising events for 2020 are no longer able to take place as a result of social distancing, but our essential services delivered by our family support workers, health and education professionals continues. Our services are only partially funded by the Government, and we rely heavily on fundraised income. This is why we are so grateful that the One More Mile Team have created this fantastic event in aid of SBHI! - Alex, SBHI Fundraising Coordinator

Join us for the #5KaDay challenge in aid of SBHI and support the team with a donation!

About the charity
