Story
The last two years of pandemic and online learning has shown all of us the need for up-to-date computers and IT systems.
The Brighton Waldorf School has been managing to run with the same computers for the past 10 years, and a patchwork of WiFi routers. But it is now time to bring our school's IT up-to-date and into the 21st century.
In this campaign we are working with passion4it.co.uk and we are seeking to raise £5,700 for a full school IT update, this will include:
A total overhaul of the school's digital structure, with improved access for students, including improved content filtering for a safer Internet experience, in line with the government's updated Keeping Children Safe in Education policy.
7 new staff computers with Office, greatly increasing the capacity for staff to access, create and print teaching resources and send and receive emails.
5 new WiFi routers and Internet access points, improving Internet access and speeds around the school.
All of the money raised will go towards our plan to have a new school IT system in time for the next academic year (2022-23).
Any money that we raise above our target of £5,700 will be invested into buying new laptops for our Upper School students to use while in school. Allowing us to provide a comprehensive digital education, and supporting students with Special Educational Needs.
Your support for this campaign will be greatly appreciated, and will be a massive help for our school community.
