The Giving Tree Appeal offers you the chance to give the gift of friendship and turn a frown upside down for a local child this Christmas.

Your donation will give children and young people that Befriend a Child support across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire the opportunity to experience new and fun activities they would otherwise not be able to take part in due to circumstances beyond their control.

Each child that receives your support will have the chance to try new activities with their volunteer befriender or mentor who is both a role model and a friend. These experiences help build their confidence and self esteem and give children an opportunity to explore what life has to offer.

Your Christmas donation of:

£15 could pay for an outing to get hot chocolate and cake for a child and their volunteer.

£20 could pay for an outing to the beach with a fish and chip dinner and an ice cream treat for a child and their volunteer.

£30 could pay for a Christmas care package for a local child.

£100 Could pay for outings for a month for three children.

£360 Could pay for 1 childs outings for a whole year.

£1250 Could pay for a child to be befriended for a whole year, this includes training the volunteer, matching them with their befriender, supporting the volunteer, the cost of their outings and the cost of them attending our seasonal playschemes and parties.

The time spent with their befriender or mentor will give them lasting memories to cherish.

Thanks to your incredible generosity in helping us reach £12,000 we have increased our goal to £15,000 so we can perhaps support even more children across Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire in 2021.
