The hurricane has caused at least 5 deaths (including a 7 year old boy who reportedly drowned)) in the Bahamas with high level of life-threatening conditions and unprecedented strom surges as high as 23 feets.

Thousands of children and families are affected and Children In Need is working with local non-profit organisations to help people in need there in Bahamas.
