Story
Betty has been stuck in her house for months isolating due to Covid-19 and to make things worse, her magnifier has broken making it impossible for her to read anything because of her sight loss. She cannot read her mail which includes an appointment at the hospital, or her book to help her sleep at night, or the latest government advice for people on the high risk register.
Luckily, Betty contacted Sight Support HEY and one of our Community Advice Officers was not only able to source a new magnifier but to call round to deliver it in person to Betty making sure she was happy and safe once again.
Thank you so much, said Betty. Vicky helped to get my spectacles fixed and to get me a replacement magnifier whilst I was staying safe at home isolating. She has been such a lot of help and you are all such lovely people at Sight Support.
