Story
Our friend, Brian Donnelly, dedicated the last years' of his life to bringing together refugee support groups and charities in collaboration knowing we make a bigger difference together than we ever could apart.
Brian sadly died in March this year following his battle with cancer. To all who knew him it seems hard to believe he's really gone, and we wanted to do something in his memory. Brian loved vans and always wanted one, so our 'In Memory of Brian' fundraiser earlier this year raised enough money to buy a van for our partners "Better Life with Refugees" in Athens.
Now we're inviting you to take part in the Brian 75 Challenge by doing a challenge of your choice to raise at least £75 between 26th July and 1st August, which would have been Brian's 75th Birthday. The £75 you raise is roughly the amount needed to fill up the new "Van of Hope" with a tank of fuel with all proceeds going to BLWR towards the van running costs.
Create your fundraising page by clicking "Start Fundraising" within this Campaign and remember to share your achievements on social media using #Brian75.
Happy 75th Birthday Brian. You're always in our hearts.
