Story

For many, Christmas is a time for family, a time to see children's excitement build as the big day approaches and to watch their faces as they unwrap their presents. It is also a time to reflect and be grateful for what the year has provided.

For many of the families who have been supported by our World Child Cancer programme in Ghana over the past few years, Christmas is a milestone. Hearing of their childs diagnosis means not knowing whether they will spend another Christmas together as a family.

That's why our Christmas Party is so important. It's a chance for children undergoing treatment to feel like a child again. It is an opportunity to meet survivors, to be swept up in the festive cheer and to feel hopeful for the future - something many of them would have thought impossible a few months before.

Help us to give these children a Christmas to remember and wish families in Ghana Afenhyiapa! this Christmas.

All donations will go directly towards giving children with cancer in Ghana a Christmas party to remember.

In low- and middle-income countries fewer than 1 in 10 children with cancer are diagnosed, treated or given pain relief. World Child Cancer improves cancer care for some of the world’s poorest children by creating international twinning partnerships between medics hospitals and parent support groups
