Story
Since 1902 Father Hudson's Care has worked across the Archdiocese to help people in need. Our work is supported by parishes through a second collection in September. This year your support is needed more than ever, in the past year we have continued to be there for people in need but we have had to make changes to many of our services to keep people safe.
This year, we have launched Tabor Cottage to provide move-on accommodation for guests of Tabor House. Tabor Cottage offers guests more independence and time to secure a permanent home, while still being able to access support from staff and volunteers at Tabor House. St Joseph's Residential Care Home opened a dedicated visiting pod creating a new comfortable place for safe in-person visits. Our Family Support Service has launched a crisis fund to support the families that we work with to overcome barriers to children's well-being and educational attainment. More recently Maryvale Community Project has reopened its popular lunch clubs to reduce loneliness and isolation for older people and those with learning disabilities.
This is just some of the work that we have undertaken in the last year and with the support of parishes and parishioners we can continue to be there for people in need.
