Story

Govan Community Project support individuals and families in the asylum system in Glasgow, providing supports which address the impact of destitution, poverty, wellbeing and social isolation.

The Covid 19 lockdown measures mean more individuals need support. Many of our community members do not have family or support networks and everyone self isolating regardless of support networks will not be able to access the support they need to meet their basic needs.

We are raising funds to enable us to support as many indviduals and families as possible within the asylum community with basic essentials which are more difficult to access at this time, such as food, toiletries, sanitisation products and access to wifi to be able to stay connected with others, address the impact isolation has on mental health and to make contact with services offering support.

Please help us support those in need in this time of crisis, every little helps.

About the charity

Govan Community Project is a charity based in south west Glasgow. Originally a response of community members to the needs of newly arrived asylum seekers, GCP has since developed to work with and provide support services, projects & activities for all the local community & beyond.
