Story
We've created a Giant Leap Day Fund to help us complete our mission. Will you be a star and help us reach our target?
£5 could contribute to the meals our cooks whip up from scratch for each patient.
£26 could cover the care one nurse gives a patient in the comfort of their own home.
£33 could keep our inpatients, receiving specialist, round the clock care, warm throughout the night.
On Leap Day, our patients will pose for a photo holding the names of every single person who is part of the Giant Leap Day Fund. We will share this photo on social media and keep the names displayed at the Hospice on Leap Day.
Donate to our Giant Leap Day Fund and be part of an incredible movement this Saturday 29th February. Well love you to the moon and back.
Will you take on the mission and donate through our Giant Leap Day Fund?
So, what does your support in funding £7,500 for this special day mean, and what will it pay for? Its 24-hour compassionate care on our 8 bedded Inpatient Unit. The petrol in the cars of our Community Services Team who travel to support local people in the comfort of their own homes. Its much needed respite for families and carers at a difficult time. Its a delicious homecooked meal, just the way our patients like it. Its the friendly voice at the end of the phone on our 24/7 advice line. Its a safe place for patients to meet in our Community Hubs in Stevenage and Royston. It means we can teach people about their diagnosis and enable them to live well through wellness workshops and sessions in our Hawthorne Centre. Its a shoulder to lean on and hand to hold in our family support team. Its a quiz night at your local pub with fundraisers shaking blue tins. Its an open door to our 12 charity shops and Distribution Centre. Its a visit from Harry the Hospice Bear to your children's assembly.
Its care, compassion and support for local people in need. Its Garden House Hospice Care.
Please note that if the Hospice raises more than £7,500 from this appeal it will help us fund even more days during 2020.
