Visit the charity's profileA Better Chance continues to adapt as the COVID-19 outbreak redefines how we offer our life-changing programming to thousands of families and Scholars nationwide. To provide the necessary funding for the needed changes and modifications, A Better Chance is excited to announce our participation in GivingTuesdayNow. Set for May 5th, GivingTuesdayNow is a worldwide day of support to nonprofit organizations to respond to the challenges caused by the global pandemic. A Better Chance asks you to join us as we set an ambitious but necessary goal of $40,000, revenue necessary for the retention of our Scholars and critical adjustments to our programming.
GivingTuesdayNow creates an opportunity to serve and protect our families affected most by this crisis. It is in this spirit, we ask you to support A Better Chance on May 5th in two ways:
1. Directly support A Better Chance through a donation on May 5th
2. Hold a fundraiser for A Better Chance with your friends and family
Without your help, harsh realities will be faced and opportunities will be lost. We need your investment now to ensure we continue to offer life-changing educational opportunities to talented students of color.
Supporters who donate or raise $500 and greater will receive a special thank you video message from a current A Better Chance Scholar!
Donors and fundraisers who give or secure more than $1,200 today only will receive a special sample collection from Peter Mathis, owner of Mathis Wine in Sonoma Valley, California. To qualify for the gift, you must be over the age of 21, not donate anonymously and reside outside the following states; MI, MS, UT and AL. Donors do not pay shipping and handling charges.
After GivingTuesdayNow, we will reach out to you to confirm your address. Donors will receive the following wines:

2016 Mathis Überblend (a Petite Sirah based blend)
2018 Mathis Rosé de Grenache
