Freezin' for a Reason!

The Ancient Order of Hibernians Polar Plunge for Catholic Education provides Holy Cross families with a brisk day of fun and laughs at the beach for an opportunity to raise money for Holy Cross Academy.

When and where is the Polar Plunge?

The Polar Plunge 2020 will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2020 with a 1pm arrival, 2:00 pm in the water at Municipal Beach, Sea Bright, NJ. Holy Cross folks can gather near the new pavilion and look for the HCA tent.

How does the event work?

The participants of the event raise pledge money in order to participate, similarly to how other fundraising walks or runs obtain pledges. Participants pay a $25 registration fee, send in a signed waiver, and start fundraising from family and friends!

Getting pledges is as easy as creating a link to this campaign, adding your own pictures and story and sharing your link far and wide on social media and/or via email.

And if you want to skip the cold Atlantic Ocean, students, families and friends can pledge money to sponsor someone or just make a donation to Holy Cross Academy PTA.

Why should you participate?

Individual, family, or business donations for the Polar Plunge will directly enrich our children's educational experience at Holy Cross Academy. All donations will go towards technology initiatives.

The first 150 participants who raise at least $75 will receive a Holy Cross Academy drawstring gym bag to carry their warm gear to the beach.

Winter Warriors

Raise $150 or more and have your last name put on its own Polar Bear Sign prominently displayed on Holy Cross Academy property. Don't miss out on showing your school pride! Let's turn the campus into the North Pole with bear signs everywhere!

Arctic Adventurers

Raise $300 or more and receive two white baseball hats with Holy Cross Academy logos. Be the first to get hats with our new school logo! Great for beach wear all year long! Your family will also get a Polar Bear Sign with the bear wearing a HCA blue hat.

Polar Powerhouses

Raise $500 or more and you will receive your choice of two additional baseball hats (for a total of four) or a Holy Cross Academy blanket. Your family's' Polar Bear Sign will wear a HCA yellow hat to demonstrate your extra support.
