My son Jai is 14 years old from Market Lavington in Wiltshire living with a very rare genetic disorder known as FoxG1 Syndrome which severely effects his brain and global development. Jai cannot walk, talk, feed himself, verbally communicate or use his hands. In addition, he has Epilepsy, severe movement disorder, impaired vision and is incontinent.

Despite all the hurdles he has to cross, he is a joy to be with. He is a mischievous, playful and determined with the most infectious laugh. He has amazed me continuing to make small developmental hurdles everyday, ones we would usually take for granted. He loves being outdoors, being in water, hanging out with other children, his family and dogs, all of which brings his incredible smile.

Jai needs the use of various specialised equipment, lifts, special motorised bike, specialist wheelchairs, hoists to allow him to access what he needs and enjoys to give him the best life possible and reach his fullest potential. We cannot rely on our precious NHS to supply this and have to keep raising funds for Just4Children not only for the various equipment but to keep it all working. Just4Children are hoping to raise sufficient funds to help with the annual costs of £3,000 for maintaining all that Jai needs to keep smiling.

More recently Jai has been developing the use of the Eyegaze which will hopefully provide a system for him to communicate. He has been very lucky to have some access to this sophisticated equipment at school, but he needs more constant use to really develop his skills and maybe one day tell me, "I love you!

He needs an Eyegaze of his own for which the costs are £10,000. I ask for your help to raise funds for Just4Children to buy Jai his very own eye gaze device and give him a voice!

I dream for Jai to live the best life he can, to enjoy the great outdoors with his family and friends, allowing our time together to be full with love and laughter.
