Story
2020 has been a very challenging year for everyone and sadly families and children have been no exception to this. We know that for many people the effects of Covid 19 are still being sorely felt.
This Christmas the Friends of John Clifford are raising money to give every child at the school a Christmas gift including an age-appropriate book to support literacy for all children. The Friends of John Clifford normally fundraise for Christmas gifts for pupils by holding fundraising events such as our brilliant annual firework display. This year restrictions mean we are unable to hold our normal fundraisers but we still hope to spread a little sparkle and joy this Christmas with a gift for each pupil. Therefore, we are launching the JC Christmas Book Gift Appeal and are asking whether you might be willing to help us raise the funds to give each John Clifford pupil a Christmas gift.
We recognise that the current circumstances are placing a financial strain on many families and so we know that many people wont be able to give to this appeal. However, if you are in a position to be able to give (and gift aid it) your gift will go a long way:
A gift of £5 (gift-aided) would buy a Christmas gift for 3 children
A gift of £10 (gift-aided) would buy a Christmas gift for 6 children
A gift of £15 (gift-aided) would buy a Christmas gift for 9 children
Thank you so much for your support
