Lutheran Family Services Rocky Mtns Over the Edge: Presented by Nor'wood Development Group

On June 26th, you will have the opportunity to support the work LFSRM does in our community by rappelling over the edge of the 12-story Alamo Corporate building on Tejon Street in downtown Colorado Springs.

Lutheran Family Services Rocky Mountains is a human services agency that responds to critical social and emotional needs of approximately 30,000 people annually. The issues encountered daily by LFSRM staff and volunteers include child abuse and neglect, family violence, the impact of man-made and natural disasters, older adult isolation, and the plight of refugees and documented immigrants. LFSRM develops and provides programs that not only respond to such issues, but work to help prevent these situations from occurring.

Here in Colorado Springs, LFSRM is home to multiple programs that work to prevent child abuse, including the KPC Respite Center, a one-of-a-kind free daycare center that provides a safe place for children when parents are in crisis and need help. We also have strong Foster Care and Child Abuse Prevention programs that works with vulnerable children and families in our community.

Our Refugee and Asylee programs work to resettle refugee families and asylees through housing and job development to help our clients become thriving members of our community. We have a designated foster care program for unaccompanied refugee minors, and help for clients who have aged out of traditional foster care.

Your donations to Over the Edge will go to help support all of these programs and more. The mission of LFSRM is to walk with the vulnerable, through services that heal, strengthen, and provide hope. We couldn't do it without your support.
