This Street Aid fund offers grants to help people who are on or have been on the streets to sustain accommodation and employment, or otherwise make changes in their lives which will help them avoid returning to the streets.

The scheme offers people an alternative way to give cash rather than giving directly to people begging on the streets. Giving directly to people on the streets may help them stay on the streets or return to the streets.

Each donation, combined with hundreds of others, can make a real difference. The fund provides grants for items which people need to get them off the streets and/or help them stay off the streets - such as clothing for job interviews, funding to access copies of birth certificates or other forms of ID, or a second-hand bike to provide transport to work.

Any organisations working with individuals can apply to the fund for financial help that they cannot find elsewhere. Items will be given to the individual, rather than cash.
