Imagine living on the edge of poverty. Holding a steady job yet constantly struggling to pay rent and put food on the table for your family. Within a matter of weeks, your world turns upside down. Getting laid off with no ability to telework and limited or no access to government support, you panic. How will you pay rent and afford food for your children? What will you do if you or your family get sick?

This is the unfortunate reality shared by many Mary's Center participants. Many in our community are uninsured. Many have either lost their jobs or are unable to isolate as essential frontline workers. Many are living in crowded homes, making social distancing impossible when sick. Those who are undocumented are ineligible for much of the federal, state, and local relief.

That is why over 60,000 individuals in the DC metropolitan area look to Mary's Center as a beacon of hope.

From providing access to medical care to connecting families to vital resources aimed at preventing homelessness, food insecurity, and financial instability, Mary's Center is at the forefront of the region's COVID-19 testing, tracking, and recovery efforts. But, we can't do this without YOU.
