It has been a tough year for all of us especially on the front line in healthcare.

The response to the Covid-19 pandemic disrupted the whole of the cancer care pathway and the radiotherapy service was no exception. The workforce worked tirelessly, and herculean efforts were made to ensure patients were treated on time, in unprecedented circumstances.

#Miles4Radiotherapy aims to bring this amazing radiotherapy community together. Never has there been a more important time to bring people together to support each other, raise the profile of the radiotherapy profession and radiotherapy services.

As supporters of Action Radiotherapy and the important work it does, therapeutic radiographers, physicists, dosimetrists, medical engineers, mould room technicians, doctors, nurses, industry leaders, patients, and members of the public have committed to covering as many miles as possible to help raise money for the charity.

Action Radiotherapy is the only charity dedicated to improving the radiotherapy services across the UK; supporting patients and professionals, promoting the needs of radiotherapy with government and raising the profile of radiotherapy as a safe, effective and cost-effective treatment option for treating cancer.
