The cancellation of the Golf Classic, along with many other cancelled fundraising events for 2020, means that we are facing a substantial loss in fundraised income this year, running into tens of thousands of Euro.

With this in mind, we are keen to share the following idea with you, so that you still have the opportunity to support our essential services in 2020.

Introducing 'My Drive for SBHI'.

We are all delighted to be back out on the course in recent weeks, and there's nothing sweeter than that first ping down the fairway (so long as it's not a slice)! In celebration of this return to competition, we are asking our followers to share their best drive with us while fundraising on behalf of our charity. How can you get involved?

1. Simply record a video of your best drive using your smartphone. (You can ask a friend to record you or rest your phone up against an object!)

2. Share your video to your social media accounts with the hashtag #MyDriveForSBHI tag @SBHIreland and mention 3 friends or businesses who should enter the challenge!

3. Email your video to: fundraise@sbhi.ie with the subject 'My Drive for SBHI' to enter the competition.

4. And most importantly, DONATE! You can make a personal donation or better yet, ask your company to help support our charity. (Pro tip: add our JustGiving link into your social media bio to maximise donations www.justgiving.com/campaign/MyDriveForSBHI )

And voila you're in the draw! Once we have everyone's submission, we will set up a poll on www.packiebonnergolfclassic.ie where you can vote for the best drive. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners with the most votes will receive a prize and who knows, you may even get some 'kudos' from Packie himself!
