Story
The NTC is home to 13 horses and is also the hub of all national work at RDA. The horses, staff and volunteers all help to provide therapy, fitness and fun to 100 disabled riders locally.
We need your help to support vital running costs so we can continue to deliver these essential services in the future. Our horses need to be fed and cared for by our team all year round - this is where we need your support!
Charlottes the Yard Manager at the NTC:
"I experience first-hand on a daily basis the difference our work makes to disabled riders - improved communication skills, balance and confidence. However, this year, as for everyone, its been a tough year. Our income has dropped due to the Covid-19 epidemic which meant the RDA NTC had to cease all activities for 3 months and again recently. With a team of horses and yard staff to care for we are asking for help from the local community to ensure we are here to support our riders in the future."
We know you have already been so generous and supported us and we turn to you now to ask for your support again. This Christmas make a gift which could make a huge difference and continue to make our disabled riders wishes come true. Here's how you can change your Christmas activities into wishes:
- £5 saved on an advent calendar could feed two of our horses for the day.
- £10 saved on a Secret Santa present could provide a bag of shavings to make our horses beds in winter.
- £40 saved on a Christmas meal out could pay for one of our horses to see the farrier.
- £100 saved from a night away could help our yard team to continue caring for our horses.
RDA is committed to providing life-changing experiences for disabled children and adults through interaction with horses whilst maintaining a high level of horse welfare. With your help we will be able to continue to support our riders in the future, and our experienced yard team will be able to care for our wonderful RDA horses until normality resumes.
Thank you in advance for your donation, which will make a difference and ensure the future of the RDA NTC.
