Natalie O'Rourke (left in photo) set up our Park Lane Stables RDA group 5 years ago and we are now one of the biggest and most successful groups in the UK with 350 participants. Last year we ran 3,000 riding, hippotherapy and carriage driving sessions and stable yard activities for local children and adults with a wide and complex range of disabilities.
Natalie O'Rourke, who will be running in the Brighton Marathon on 19 April to raise vital funds for our RDA (Riding for the Disabled Association) group, will now ALSO be running in the London Marathon the following Sunday 26 April to try and raise even more money!
Without our horses and ponies, our RDA group wouldn't exist: we wouldn't be able to give the much-needed therapy and well-being our participants need. Unfortunately, it costs about £5,000 per year to feed and look after just one of our four-legged friends (that's £220 per day for our 16 RDA horses and ponies). Then there's the staff to pay, the rent, insurance, disabled toilet hire, equipment and much more. So we rely heavily on fundraising events and kind donations from our wonderful supporters in order to keep our vital service going.
Please support Natalie through these gruelling 26 mile challenges by making a donation to our RDA group.
Every penny will help us to continue providing much-needed therapy for local children and adults with a wide and diverse range of disabilities and learning difficulties and to look after our horses and ponies.
With heartfelt thanks from the whole team at Park Lane Stables RDA
