Campaign Update: We did it! RLS ran around the World!

1 Month. 40,000km. 5 Continents. 33 Countries. 4000+ Runs/Rides/Walks done by 301 Runners, 178 Cyclists and 44 Walkers!

About our Challenge:

In these difficult times, our mission remains intact to provide incredible sports facilities at the Royal Latin School for both our students and the wider community. Recent events have shown us, even more than ever, that the health, fitness and mental wellbeing of our students is paramount.

Just before the lockdown measures to combat Covid-19 came into place, we had raised the funds and received the go-ahead to start building our 3G all-weather pitch. This work is now underway and our focus is now on completing the fundraising for the Sports Performance Centre that will sit at the head of the pitch and add the all-important Fitness Suite, Mind & Body Zone and Sports Tech Lab that will give all our students the opportunity to get involved with sport, health and wellbeing as never before.

If you are visiting this page to sponsor one of our students - thank you for your support and for motivating them! Their input into the fundraising campaign is invaluable. Not only the money they raise, but the sense of achievement they gain by contributing towards something that they will both benefit from themselves as well as leaving a legacy for future generations of RLS students. When they return to visit as Alumni (as so many of our students do) they will be able to say "we did that". In addition, a lot of our funding comes from grant applications to Charitable Foundations and Trusts and they often base their decision on whether to support us, on how much we are doing ourselves and how involved our students are in achieving our goal. Without being able to do all our normal school activities and fundraising, this virtual event is an excellent way to demonstrate how we will come together when times are more "difficult" to do something positive.

The response to this Challenge has been overwhelming! Thank you to everyone for getting behind this. With all our other fundraisers "on hold" we need to aim as high as possible. We'd love to see how far we can go... thank you!
