They've been working tirelessly to keep us safe, providing exceptional care for the people we love most, despite the cost to their own physical and mental health. Now more than ever, healthcare workers across the UK need our support; they are working in an extremely stressful and complex environment, managing up to three times the workload they did pre-Covid. This Christmas will be no different.

Frontline staff urgently need protection from the risk of burn-out and support so that they are able to continue to function and reduce the risk of them leaving their profession entirely.

At the Healthcare Workers' Foundations (HWF), we know this has to change...

Founded by NHS workers, for NHS workers, our sole priority is to increase the wellbeing and welfare of all healthcare workers. From doctors and nurses, to physios and pharmacists, porters and housekeepers, to radiographers, lab technicians, paramedics and many, many more, our services cover the physical, mental and day-to-day needs of all healthcare workers.

During the pandemic we delivered over half a million units of service and items to NHS workers, including 900 meals a day from HWF partners to hospitals, free access to counselling and childcare grants for those in financial need. 2021 continues to be a busy year. We've transformed staff rest spaces via our HWF Rooms project, continued to provide free access to counselling and childcare grants, and more and more healthcare workers have signed up to our free platform, Healthchain, but there's more to be done.
