We know lock-down has been tough on everyone, for a whole variety of reasons. But for many of our families, they have not only had the same experiences as everyone else, but the respite they have so needed hasn't been there, support has been reduced, routines disturbed for children who really need routines, many hospital appointments cancelled. On top of this, many of our families are dealing with some really poorly children.

Sunflowers Children's Action Group have continued to support our families. We are a very small Charity operating in NE Lincs, North Lincs and East Yorkshire and we delivered gift boxes to our children with activities in at the start of the first lock-down, then summer gift boxes, Sunflower growing kits and then we held a fantastic virtual Christmas party, where every child received two large boxes from the elves and we zoomed with Santa! Since the start of this lock-down, we have put on live entertainment sessions so the children can feel less isolated, and these are proving to be great fun.

We really hope this event will be the last down under such stringent lock-down conditions, but we are aiming for our volunteer Easter Bunnies to hop along to our families (socially distanced, of course) and deliver them some Easter treats, baking kits and activities, with a special gift for each of our Sunflowers children.

But, we need help, and most importantly we need donations. Perhaps you could hold a virtual event to help us, or if you are in a business and in a position to make a donation, this would be gratefully received.

(By the way, the bunny you see is about 4' tall and is wearing the special jumper made just for him. If we reach our target, we will put all our donor's names into a hat and one lucky person will win him!)
