Our work at TLC: Talk, Listen, Change is all about enabling people to have safe, healthy, happy relationships in all areas of their lives. We deliver a huge range of counselling, domestic abuse and community services both to adults and children across Greater Manchester. Last year we worked with over 7,000 people. The majority of the work was delivered from our Chester Road office in Trafford.

We have been working from the office for over 30 years. It is an amazing old building with oodles of character and it has served us beautifully! This year we have outgrown the building and moved our office-based staff up the road, because we want our Chester Road site to be fully used to deliver services - ultimately meaning we can enable more people to have safe, healthy, happy relationships.

However the office needs a little TLC itself before it is ready for the next 30 years. It needs a lick of paint, new furniture, new carpets and some soft furnishings so we can create an atmosphere where people feel respected, comfortable and ready to address the "big stuff".

Many of our funders prefer to invest in specific projects and job roles, which we fully understand but leaves us in a sticky situation right now.

We are excited and nervous about the next set of firsts for TLC - a crowdfunder being one of them!
