Story
Tree Tracking is part of Earthwatchers - an innovative programme bringing together volunteers who take part in scientific research projects to help the environment. In this project, volunteers monitor a tree, or set of trees, over a period of time. They make observations of seasonal changes, carry out sampling and take measurements to help us build a dataset on trees in different environments.
Data from Tree Tracking will help us understand how trees can create a more resilient environment in the face of flooding, air pollution and climate change.
By supporting Earthwatchers you will be part of a scientific revolution - we are disrupting traditional scientific funding models by running a range of exciting science projects funded partially by the public. This means we don't have to just rely on research grants that are limited in time and scope, we can make sure our projects can delve deeper and respond to environmental issues as they arise.
