Story

The world is experiencing a level of humanitarian need never seen before. Conflict and protracted crisis, displacement, increasingly severe natural disasters, climate change and economic instability - all affecting some of the world's most vulnerable people. The health problems experienced by those affected are long-lasting: lower life expectancy, higher rates of malnourishment and fewer of children immunised against disease.

We train and deploy medical teams and specialists to save lives when epidemics, conflict and natural disasters hit. As disasters grow more frequent, severe and complex there has never been a greater need to respond quickly and effectivelyboth to save lives and aid recovery. In 2017, a staggering two hundred million people were in need of humanitarian assistance. We believe in a world prepared to help. Join us.

Using our deployment experience, commitment to clinical excellence and unparalleled access to UK medical expertise, we seek not only to save lives, but build resilient health systems. Our work seeks to bridge the gap between policy research and practice so people affected by disaster receive the best possible care.
